USB Design to Show Memory

USB that shows data storage through lighting

This shows information design in a tangible application. The USB concept shows how much space is free with pink light showing images, green showing text and blue showing documents. One way to ‘make information visible.’ Another interesting concept is the USB that changes its physical size in response to data on board.

Systems Are Go. Huzzah!

March 29, 2010

Hello earthlings, welcome to my humble internet abode.

I trust your journey here was agreeable . I hereby would like to formally introduce you to my blog. As you may have deduced my interest lies in how information design distills ideas into intelligent and communicable forms. The delivery of complex ideas through information design can unlock what would otherwise be unfathomable for many and has the potential to enable informed and active participation in the community. As our decisions within politics, industry and home life define the world we live in, information design can be the mediator between the formulation of knowledge and those wanting to learn, informing and enabling action through effective communication.

This blog will document my foray into information design research as I attempt to answer the question of ‘how do people engage with complex ideas through information design?’

So with the formalities out of the way I hope you enjoy your time here and find a informative window ito the world of information design.
